ST. CROIX — Art Thursday Gallery Walk returns to Christiansted on November 19 for an all-day event beginning at 10:00 am to 8:00 p.m., according to a release issued Thursday.
"The participating galleries enthusiastically welcome the return of this monthly event that runs the third Thursday of the month from November through May," the release stated.
Art Thursday in Christiansted has been a pillar of the St. Croix art community for almost 25 years, supporting the artists' galleries and studios and providing a venue for art appreciation, social activity and a lively evening in Christiansted..
In order to provide for the necessary safety requirements due to Covid, galleries will not be offering food and wine and limited numbers of guests will be allowed into each gallery at any one time, according to the release. The hours for the event are extended to include the entire day allowing for more people to attend throughout the day. Hand sanitizers will be available and masks will be required.
Special offerings will be featured at each gallery: Joyia Inspirational jewelry will be launching a brand new collection; Mitchell Larsen will be featuring 2020 ornaments including the Masked Santa; Barbara’s Art Studio will be featuring new work, beading craft for kids and a raffle of artwork at the end of the evening; the Alcove at Quin House will feature various artists outdoors; and Art at the Top Hat and Christa’s Art Gallery will be featuring new works.
Additionally, Sonja’s and IbDesigns will offer original and handcrafted island-design jewelry, and Crucian Gold and Maufe Gallery will also be offering new jewelry designs, artwork and live music, according to the release.
