Afro Jump Brings ‘Double Dutch Experience of the Decade’ to St. Croix March 7

Afro Jump St. Croix will bring what organizers describe as “The Double Dutch Experience of the Decade” to the island on Saturday, March 7, 2026, with national-level teams traveling to St. Croix for a live competition and community showcase.

According to event organizers, Afro Jump and The Dave Edwards Jr. Foundation are hosting the event in partnership with the National Association of Double Dutch Organizations (NADDO) and The Dave Edwards Foundation. Teams from across the United States will participate in the Double Dutch Competition and performance at The Island Center for the Performing Arts from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The event is positioned as a high-energy celebration of Double Dutch culture, featuring live demonstrations and performances that give the Virgin Islands community an opportunity to witness national-level teams in action locally.

While no workshops will be held during the main event, sign-ups will be available for future certified workshops and training opportunities for those interested in learning and developing in the sport of Double Dutch.

Organizers note that the event is designed to be family-friendly. Free children’s activities will be offered, creating what is described as a fun, welcoming experience for the entire community.

Tickets are available online, with admission priced at $10 for adults and $5 for children.
