ST. THOMAS — The V.I.P.D. announced Saturday that a 64-year-old man was found unresponsive at Brewer's Bay, and is believed to have drowned.
According to police spokesman Toby Derima, on Friday at roughly 8:41 a.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center received a call stating that a male was floating face-down in the water at Brewer’s Bay Beach. Officers traveled to the area and found the unresponsive male lying on the sand, and was advised that an individual had removed the man from the water.
Emergency Medical Technicians on scene concluded that the male did not have any vital signs, Mr. Derima said. There were no apparent signs of foul play, according to the news release.
Next of kin identified the male as 64-year-old James Bachelor. The V.I.P.D. is continuing its investigation into this incident.
