ST. CROIX — The V.I.P.D. announced on social medial Tuesday that the 14-year-old girl who went missing on August 8 was found eight days later.
According to V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Toby Derima, Yomarize Davis was located Tuesday and was in good health. He said detectives did not provide information relative to where she was found or what led to her discovery.
"The VIPD thanks everyone for sharing the original post, and for their concern," a post on the department's Facebook page reads. The original post was shared over 1,000 times on the V.I.P.D.'s FB page as community members sought to help.
In the original notice, the V.I.P.D. said the teen was last seen at her residence in Estate Paradise on August 8 at 3 a.m., wearing camouflage pajamas.
