There's A Triathlon Jump Up In Christiansted On Friday. See Parking Restrictions Inside

As the final Half Iron Man triathlon event gets closer (it happens on Sunday), Christiansted Jump Up organizers are hosting a Jump Up event to mark the momentous race.

Below are the parking restrictions for the Jump Up, which happens on Friday night.

Effective Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the completion of the event, the following parking restrictions will be in effect:

  • No parking on King Street, or Company Street from King Cross Street to the Wharf Area.
  • No parking on Queen Cross Street from the intersection of Company Street to the Waterfront at the Caravelle Hotel.
  • No parking on Church Street, between King and Company Streets.

Any vehicle found parked in the restricted areas may be ticketed and/or towed at the owner’s expense.

Owners or drivers finding that his/her vehicle has been towed should contact the Ancilmo Marshall Command At 773-2530 for further information.

Vehicular Movement Restrictions

Vehicular traffic traveling eastward into Christiansted Town will be re-routed at King Cross Street. Vehicular Traffic Traveling westward on Hospital Street will be re-routed on Queen Street to proceed west.

The Virgin Islands Police Department regrets any inconvenience these changes or restrictions might cause.

The Virgin Islands Police Department wishes the community a safe and enjoyable “Jump-Up.”
