ST. CROIX -- The Virgin Islands Department of Education (D.O.E.), Office of the Insular Superintendent, St. Croix District announced on Saturday that students are to report for school for the opening of the 2017-18 school year on Tuesday, September 12. The Consortium previously reported the Tuesday reopening.
Faculty and staff in the St. Croix District should to report for work at their respective locations on Monday, September 11, and all school principals are to report to the Curriculum Center at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, September 11 for a meeting with the District’s leadership.
St. Thomas-St. John District
Employees of D.O.E.'s main headquarters, located in downtown Charlotte Amalie, are asked to report to work on Monday, September 11 to assist with the clean-up process in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma. Employees are also encouraged to bring cleaning supplies, if possible.
