St. Croix District Back To School Conference Schedule Announced

The Department of Education late Saturday announced the schedule for its annual Back to School Professional Development Conference on August 27-30, 2018. According to the release, sessions will be held at various locations on St. Croix from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. daily. Lunch will be served at each site.

The schedule and locations are as follows:

MONDAY, AUGUST, 27, 2018 Gertrude’s Restaurant

*   K-2 Early Childhood Education *   Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP)

*   Concepts and Procedures in CCSS Mathematics (Session 1) *   Write Traits– Rm. 102

2+2 Restaurant

*   Blended Learning Teaching Academy (Session 1)

Alternative Education School

*   Utilizing GoPlans Lesson Planning Software/Crossing Paths Framework *   Paraprofessionals: Getting A Head Start To A Successful School Year (8:30 a.m. – 12 noon) *   Autism (8:30 a.m. – 12 noon) *   What Non-Instructional Personnel need to know about Students with Disabilities (3 Non-instructional personnel per school site) (12 noon – 3:30 p.m.) *   Building Instructional Capacity in schools: Paraprofessional Training (Session 1)
