The Virgin Islands Port Authority will begin installing speed bumps along designated areas within the Cyril E. King Airport on St. Thomas, Monday, Feb. 9 through Thursday, Feb. 12.

Port Authority Executive Director Carlton Dowe made the announcement Friday and says the work will be conducted during the evening hours. He says the speed bumps are being installed to provide pedestrians with additional safety while crossing the street to and from the airport parking lot and the terminal building.

The motoring public is asked to be watchful for the change in the roadway.
