Are you sixty years or older and struggling to pay for your prescription drugs?

Are you without medical insurance and have a chronic illness and simply cannot afford to pay for medicine from your monthly income?

The Pharmaceutical Assistance Program or PAP at the Department of Human Services (D.H.S.) is here to assist seniors with paying for the cost of prescription drugs, according to a public service announcement Government House issued yesterday.

Call D.H.S. or visit one of its locations in St. Croix and St. Thomas to receive help with cost.

Here is what you will need:

  • Your doctor’s certificate with the type of medication
  • Proof of income (single individuals with incomes up to $18,000.00 and married couples with incomes up to $30,000.00)
  • The cost of the medications
