The Department of Human Services has announced that the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (S.N.A.P., also known as the Food Stamps Program), and the Medicaid Assistance Program (M.A.P.) has relocated its main offices.

“This move is an effort to better serve the needs our clients, and an overall effort on budgeting and managing our resources more efficiently,” stated D.H.S. Commissioner-designee Felecia Blyden.

Effective this past Monday, the S.N.A.P. and MAP offices moved from 3011 Golden Rock, Christiansted to 41B Mars Hill, Frederiksted.  Clients seeking the Energy Crisis Assistance Program will continue to receive service at the Golden Rock location.  S.N.A.P. and Medicaid applications will also remain available at Golden Rock.
