The Schneider Regional Medical Center has announced that it will collaborate with the Dept. of Tourism's Division of Festivals to host a unique carnival celebration dubbed "Carnival at the Hospital". The event is set for Monday, April 22 at 6:00 p.m. at the SRMC campus.

The event is billed as one of the highlights of the carnival season that is eagerly anticipated by patients, their families, seniors, and citizens of all ages. It offers a much-needed reprieve and festive atmosphere for those who might otherwise be unable to participate in the island-wide festivities, SRMC said in a statement.

Tina Comissiong, CEO of SRMC, expressed the center's enthusiasm for continuing this tradition. "At SRMC, we are committed to providing the highest quality of care to our patients, ensuring they have an exemplary experience during their time at the Hospital. That's why we proudly continue to support this cherished cultural event that brings such joy and excitement to the entire community,” she said.

Attendees can look forward to a preview of the carnival troupes, various games, live music, and a selection of treats from local vendors.

SRMC is calling on local vendors who wish to showcase their products, services, dishes, and drinks to a broad audience to secure a spot at the event. Each vendor spot is priced at $150.

For more information or to become a vendor at the event, interested parties are encouraged to contact Camellia Williams at 340-776-8311 extensions 2367 or 2264. Vendors can also reach out via email at [email protected].
