Concerts, J’Ouvert and Mas Bands Set for Virginia Beach International Carnival

Virginia Beach International Carnival 2024.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — The Virginia Beach International Carnival will return July 16–19, 2026, with four days of Caribbean cultural events along the Virginia Beach Boardwalk, including two concerts, J’ouvert on the Sand, mas bands, parties and a brunch event.

Mas bands from North Carolina, Georgia, Connecticut, Maryland and Virginia are expected to participate in the carnival.

The scheduled activities begin with a welcome party and include two concerts featuring Caribbean performers, the beachside J’ouvert on the Sand, a Breakfast Brunch and afterparties.

Organizers are continuing to release the entertainment lineup. Artists announced in connection with the event include Kerwin Dubuois, Lyrikal, Rae and Freetown Collective, with additional performers expected to be named.

The event is intended to bring a Caribbean Carnival experience to the Mid-Atlantic and reach Caribbean communities and festival audiences within the United States.
