ST. CROIX — The 2026–27 St. Croix Crucian Christmas Festival will run from December 26, 2026 through January 2, 2027, with pageants, competitions and community events beginning earlier in December, the V.I. Department of Tourism and Division of Festivals announced Monday.
The celebration will again combine pageantry, live entertainment, food, music and traditional cultural events, with the Festival Village serving as the center of nightly activity from Dec. 26 through Jan. 2.
Although the official festival dates begin Dec. 26, organizers said activities will get underway earlier in December with events including the Prince & Princess Pageant and Calypso Monarch Competition. Those competitions are intended to showcase the talent, creativity and traditions that form part of the Crucian Christmas Festival experience.
“We look forward to welcoming everyone to experience our Crucian Christmas Festival, from residents and returning festivalgoers to first-time visitors,” said Tourism Commissioner Jennifer Matarangas-King. “It’s a magical time when our community comes together and offers visitors an authentic way to experience the spirit and culture of St. Croix.”
Festival Village will feature free nightly performances by local, regional and international artists throughout the Dec. 26-Jan. 2 period. The entertainment lineup and other programming details have not yet been announced.
Beyond the village, the festival will include longstanding attractions such as the Food Fair, boat races and J’ouvert, alongside other cultural and community activities. Tourism officials are also promoting the celebration as an opportunity for visitors to experience St. Croix’s beaches, historic towns, culinary offerings and broader cultural heritage.
The festival is one of the territory’s largest annual cultural celebrations, drawing residents, returning Virgin Islanders and visitors for a schedule built around music, food, pageantry and community traditions. Organizers said the final night of Festival Village will culminate with a fireworks display over St. Croix.
Additional information, including the entertainment lineup and complete programming schedule, will be released as it becomes available.
