Port of Spain, Trinidad

Travel restrictions in Trinidad & Tobago are set to be scaled way back from June 1st, following announcements by Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh that the Covid-19 Travel Pass System and supporting requirements will be scrapped.

Deyalsingh said that with cases plateauing at about 200 new cases being recorded daily, which compares well with regional and international data, it suggests that the acute phase of the outbreak in T&T is waning. As a result, local authorities have decided that it would be safe to relax protocols.

From today, vaccination information will no longer need to be declared, meaning that nationals and non-nationals who are not vaccinated against Covid-19 will once again be permitted to enter Trinidad and Tobago.

Travelers will still be required to provide a negative Covid-19 test result taken within 48 hours of their arrival, the absence of which will result in the individual being placed in state quarantine. However, quarantined individuals can test out at any time once their results are negative. Mandates for mask wearing, physical distancing and sanitizing remain in effect.
