In Dominica, a medical facility became a murder scene on Monday night, with local press outlets reporting a homicide at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital.
According to Emo News and Dominica News Online, a patient on the male Alford Ward was shot and killed. Further details are still scarce, and the Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force have not yet issued a statement on the matter.
Appalled citizens took to social media to express their shock and horror over the brazen incident. One commenter under post by Emo News suggested that the hospital now needed to hire armed security and install surveillance cameras.
A nurse at DCFH shared that her mental health was in shambles following the incident, and asked for prayers for her and her colleagues who were on duty at the time, saying that everyone was not traumatized.
