The University of the Virgin Islands has announced a new start date for its Cannabis Commerce course, a specialized program designed to educate participants on the emerging cannabis industry in the territory. The five-week course is set to begin on February 18 and will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 4:30 to 6:00 PM via Zoom, running through March 20, 2025.

The Cannabis Commerce course offers a comprehensive introduction to the evolving legal framework and business opportunities surrounding the Virgin Islands cannabis industry. The program, developed by UVI’s Center for Excellence in Leadership and Learning (CELL), features expert facilitators who will provide insight into the rules and regulations established by the Virgin Islands Office of Cannabis Regulations.

The instructor-led sessions will delve into various aspects of the cannabis business landscape, equipping participants with the necessary knowledge to navigate this emerging sector effectively.
