ST. CROIX — A compelling lineup of accomplished women and teen entrepreneurs will take the spotlight this Sunday, July 27, at 4:00 p.m. on a special episode of the Live with Laura Show. The episode airs exclusively on the VI Consortium and is presented by Women In Business VI & Caribbean Inc., with proud sponsorship by the VI Consortium.

The show will feature a mix of established leaders and rising stars from the U.S. Virgin Islands, offering viewers an inspiring blend of experience, innovation, and community impact. At the forefront of the broadcast is Dr. Khnuma Simmonds, Founder and SHE-EO of Girlfriendism International, LLC, and the creative force behind My Girlfriend’s Closet boutiques on St. Croix and St. Thomas. She is also the Founding Executive Director of the nonprofit H.O.P.E. Inc., which offers culturally specific support for women. With two decades of leadership rooted in holistic wellness and self-empowerment, Dr. Simmonds continues her mission to connect one million women globally through healing friendships, collaboration, and transformational experiences.

Joining the lineup is Adeline Alexander, a respected businesswoman and community leader based on St. Thomas. Alexander owns two thriving restaurants—The Tuck Shop in Bovoni and Downtown—and leads The Tidy Team, a professional cleaning service. She also serves as President of the Virgin Islands Cricket Board. With more than 20 years of service in the food and hospitality industries, she brings a legacy of resilience, excellence, and leadership to the local business landscape.

The show will also spotlight the next generation of leaders: the winners of the NEXT GEN CEO Shark Tank Competition—Tesania Stevens, Lue’Shante Wilson, and Ochin Diaz Belle. The trio of teen entrepreneurs pitched their winning business concept during the NEXT GEN CEO Summer Camp, a two-week initiative held at St. Croix Central High School. Organized by Women In Business VI & Caribbean Inc., the program guided 17 high school students through immersive training in entrepreneurship, digital literacy, and leadership. The camp concluded with a high-energy pitch competition modeled after the popular Shark Tank format, impressing judges and energizing the audience.

The Live with Laura Show is hosted by Laura Forbes and serves as a cornerstone production of Women In Business VI & Caribbean Inc., a nonprofit committed to uplifting women and youth across the Virgin Islands and the Caribbean through education, entrepreneurship, and leadership development.

Viewers can tune in live on the VI Consortium platform at 4:00 p.m. this Sunday for a broadcast filled with purpose, innovation, and the celebration of Caribbean excellence.
