As the V.I. Port Authority continues to move forward its plans to pursue a public/private partnership (P3) arrangement with a private airport investor, operator, and terminal developer to modernize and upgrade the Henry E. Rohlsen Airport on St. Croix and the Cyril E. King Airport on St. Thomas, the authority has announced an industry forum scheduled for Feb. 1.

At the forum, to be held 10:30 a.m. in the Standard Aviation hangar at CEKA, VIPA officials will provide information about the territory and both airports. The authority said it expects more than 35 firms and over 90 people representing airport operators, terminal developers, investment banks, architects, contractors, and consultants to attend the forum.

VIPA issued a request for qualifications on December 29, 2022, seeking airport operators, developers, and infrastructure investors for the project.

Governor Albert Bryan and VIPA Executive Director Dowe will conduct a press briefing to answer questions from the media immediately following the presentation, according to the authority. VIPA officials will conduct a tour of the Cyril E. King Airport’s facilities following the presentation. The touring segment of the forum is open to registered developers and investors only.

The group of developers will tour the Henry E. Rohlsen Airport on St. Croix at 10:00 a.m. on February 2.
