Banco Popular, the financial institution with a longstanding presence in Charlotte Amalie, announced on Wednesday that it will consolidate its Hibiscus Alley branch with the Main Office branch at the Valentino I. McBean Regional Banking Center. The move will take effect on August 31, 2023.

Oran C. Roebuck, SVP & Division Manager of Popular's Virgin Island Region, stated, "Popular has a deep-rooted history in downtown Charlotte Amalie and with this consolidation we remain focused on continuing to put our customers and communities at the center of our progress."

Banco Popular said customers can expect several features designed to improve their banking experience at the newly integrated branch. These include a larger staff to address clients’ financial needs, free off-street covered parking with space for 35 vehicles, facilities to accommodate disabled persons, a drive-thru with four lanes and eight capsules, and extended business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on weekdays and 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays. The branch will also feature a night depository for business clients, a lobby depository for payments and deposits, and three ATMs in the ATH® network.

To supplement the offerings at the Main Office, Banco Popular has set up a new ATM located at 48B Norre Gade. Situated approximately 350 feet from the current Hibiscus Alley location, this ATM offers an alternative for cash withdrawals, account inquiries, and deposit services.

The bank also provides Internet banking services through its website, www.bancopopular.com, and its 24/7 customer service line, TeleBanco Popular, available at 1-888-724-3659.

The bank reaffirms its commitment to customer service and community needs through this consolidation, providing multiple avenues for banking support.
