Plaskett Invites Students And Community To Congressional Art Competition Exhibit

ST. THOMAS -- Congresswoman Stacey Plaskett, in conjunction with the Virgin Islands Council on the Arts, invites the public to attend the 2016 Virgin Islands District Congressional Art Competition exhibit. The Art Competition exhibit will be held on Friday, April 15, 2016 at the Virgin Islands Council of the Arts on St. Thomas from 4-6 pm. Thousands of high school students from across the nation participate in the annual Congressional Art Competition. One winner from each Congressional District is chosen to have their artwork displayed at the Capitol for one year, where more than three million visitors pass through every year. In 2015, Julian Bishop, then a sophomore at the Good Hope Country Day School, submitted the winning artwork.
