Two Receive Treatment For Minor Injuries After Truck Overturns on Nissan SUV

ST. THOMAS — Two individuals were treated for minor injuries Monday night after a truck overturned on a Nissan SUV, the V.I. Police Department has announced.

According to V.I.P.D. Director of Communications Glen Dratte, the 911 Emergency Call Center received notification of the accident at 6:17 p.m. Monday. Officers arrived on the scene and conducted a preliminary investigation, which revealed that a roll-off truck filled with dirt overturned on its right side and onto the passenger side on the SUV.

The collision occurred on the Turpentine Run Road near the Nadir Basketball Court, according to the Police Department.

Both drivers were transported to the Schneider Regional Medical Center via ambulance to be treated.

The V.I.P.D. Motor Carrier Safety Unit is currently investigating this collision.
