Traffic Collision Leads to Death of St. John Man

Scene of accident in St. John By. THE VIRGIN ISLANDS POLICE DEPARTMENT

ST. JOHN — A St. John man succumbed to injuries sustained during a traffic collision Tuesday night, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Toby Derima has announced.

According to news release, on Tuesday at about 6:55 p.m., Traffic Investigation Bureau officers were notified of a vehicular accident in Estate Adrian. Upon arrival, officers learned of a collision between a vehicle and a motorcycle. 

The driver of the vehicle stated as he traveled around the corner of the road, a motorcycle was traveling directly towards his vehicle, and the two collided.

Emergency Medical Technicians on the scene confirmed the operator of the motorcycle had no signs of life. The operator of the motorcycle was identified by next of kin as 36-year-old Ceneca E. Lindo of Estate Enighed.  

This accident is currently under investigation, according to police. Anyone with information about thee incident is asked to contact police by calling 911 or the Traffic Investigation Bureau at (340) 774-2211.
