ST. THOMAS — A three-car accident in the Nazareth area of St. Thomas on Friday evening resulted in non-life-threatening injuries and significant traffic disruption due to a large oil spill, the V.I. Police Department reported.

The accident occurred around 8:00 p.m. near the stoplight in Nazareth, leading to the closure of roads in the area.

Three people involved in the collision sustained injuries, but none were reported to be life-threatening, according to the VIPD.

In addition to the injuries, officers at the scene called for assistance to manage a large oil spill, which extended approximately 100 yards. The spill prompted authorities to close the affected roads for several hours to ensure public safety and allow for proper cleanup.
