ST. CROIX — A single-vehicle crash on Peter’s Triangle Road in Peter’s Rest late Sunday night resulted in the death of 31-year-old Alric Davila, according to the V.I. Police Department.

At approximately 11:49 p.m. on November 18, the St. Croix 911 Emergency Call Center received a report of an accident involving a vehicle that had collided with a wall. The caller indicated that a man was slumped over in the passenger seat and unresponsive.

Preliminary investigations conducted by the VIPD’s Traffic Investigation Bureau revealed that the accident involved a silver Ford Fiesta traveling westbound at a high rate of speed. The driver lost control of the vehicle, which crashed into a wall adjacent to a residence in Peter’s Rest. Authorities confirmed that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene, but Davila was pronounced dead upon their arrival. His next of kin later identified him.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Traffic Investigation Bureau in the St. Croix District. Authorities have not released further details but urge the public to exercise caution and adhere to traffic safety regulations.
