Longtime St. Croix District Board of Elections member, Raymond Williams, after 12 years, has lost his seat to a newcomer, Barbara Jackson-McIntosh, who defeated the incumbent by 234 votes with more than 87 percent of votes counted.
St. Croix District Chairman Adelbert Bryan, who is also a Board member, came out on top with 2,938 votes, representing 25.27 percent, followed by McIntosh.
McIntosh was the Administrator of the Virgin Islands Police Department Office of Highway Safety from 2001 to 2010, and graduated from the New York City Technical College, A.A.S., in Marketing Management and Sales, 1988. She also attended St. Joseph College in New York, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Management.
