ST. CROIX — A 35-year-old man, Kishsion Thomas, has been arrested in St. Croix for alleged unlawful sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl, the V.I. Police Department has made known.
Following an investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau, an arrest warrant was issued on April 20, 2023, and Thomas was apprehended on May 4 at the Henry E. Rohlsen Airport. Bail was set at $35,000, and Thomas now awaits his advice of rights Hearing scheduled for May 5 at the Superior Court.
On November 21, 2022, the 911 Emergency Call Center received a report of a sexual assault in the Frederiksted area. The investigation revealed that Thomas had inappropriately touched the minor. The warrant was executed without incident after investigators received information about Thomas's return to St. Croix.
Unable to post the bail amount, Thomas was booked and transported to the John Bell Correctional Facility. The hearing set for May 5, 2023, at 9:00 am will determine the next steps in the case against Thomas.
