Scotia Bank Donates $1,500 To St. Thomas-St. John Family Resource Center

Scoatia Bank has donated $1,500 to the St. Thomas-St. John District Family Resource Center as part of its ongoing community involvement initiative, the bank announced through a press release today.

According to the release, the Family Resource Center is committed to providing the necessary resources to help end family violence in the territory. Furthermore, the non-profit's new facility will soon be hosting counseling programs and educational sessions, such as "Men "Terminating Violence" and "Women Terminating Violence."

"At Scotia Bank, we believe in corporate social responsibility," said Christine Lee, the bank's marketing officer. "And it is with great pleasure that we are able to assist the Family Resource Center."

Vivian St. Juste, executive director and Vernon Aaraujo, development director, accepted the donation on behalf of the organization.

"This will go to really good use," said St. Juste. "Thank you for considering us and thank you for having the program in place."
