ST. CROIX — The body of a man was found this morning at 10:13 in a charred vehicle abandoned in Hams Bluff, which is located all the way past the crusher to the north off the island, The Consortium can confirm.

V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte said police were given a tip on Monday about the incident, and units were dispatched to investigate the matter.

Details about the incident remain scarce, and Mr. Dratte said the identity of the victim remains in question until an autopsy is performed and the victim identified by next of kin. He said the investigation is ongoing.
