Liberty Foundation Awards $50,000 to CFVI

The Liberty Foundation awarded $50,000 to Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands (CFVI) to expand its corporate social responsibility commitment outside of Puerto Rico, now that Liberty Communications serves mobile customers in the U.S. Virgin Islands, since the acquisition of AT&T’s operations in the territory last November. “CFVI has a long-standing service record with some of the most vulnerable communities in the USVI. We immediately realized that this organization’s mission matches our four pillars: education, arts and culture, social well-being, and environmental protection. Thus, our donation will be distributed among CFVI programs that work with these four areas and cover the most urgent needs in each one,” explained Naji Khoury, president of Liberty Foundation, as well as president and CEO of the company. “In addition, we will seek to have a positive impact in all of the islands comprising the USVI, not just the main ones.” According to the release, issued Wednesday, som...
