CBP Finds 10.63 Kilograms of Marijuana Hidden in Pool Chair Boxes and Two AK-47 Magazines at St. Croix Airport

ST. CROIX — K’Shawn Wilson faces a felony drug trafficking charge after Customs and Border Protection officers allegedly found 10.63 kilograms of marijuana and two magazines for an AK-47 rifle in his luggage at Henry Rohlsen Airport. Wilson was traveling aboard American Airlines Flight 2753, which arrived on St. Croix from Miami, Florida, on Sunday. During an initial luggage inspection, CBP officers reportedly discovered boxes labeled as containing inflatable pool chairs. Instead of the expected items, the boxes allegedly contained vacuum-sealed bags. Inside the bags, officers found 10.63 kilograms of a leafy substance that produced positive results when field-tested for marijuana. Authorities also reportedly discovered two magazines for an AK-47 rifle in Mr. Wilson’s luggage.
