UVI Establishes $10,000 Scholarship Fund to Honor Rehena E. Brathwaite Industrious

The University of the Virgin Islands announced that it is in receipt of $10,000 with which to establish the Rehena E. Brathwaite Industrious Endowment Scholarship Fund. The Fund, made possible through a charitable gift from Bridget Industrious-Dorsey and the Dorsey family, “aims to promote the advancement of education and the development of a sustainable workforce among Virgin Islanders,” said UVI.‌ “Endowment gifts, such as the Rehena E. Brathwaite Industrious Endowment Scholarship Fund, are designed to have a lasting impact for generations to come,” said Dr. Pamela Moolenaar-Wirsiy, interim vice president for Institutional Advancement. The endowment is invested by the Foundation for the University of the Virgin Islands, and scholarships are awarded from the interest accumulated.
