DHS and Mission Project Inc. Launch SNAP Employment and Training Program

The V.I. Department of Human Services' Division of Family Assistance announced Wednesday that it has partnered with Mission Project Inc. to introduce the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Employment & Training Program (E&T). This program, starting November 20, is designed to provide essential skills and support to individuals, enabling them to secure sustainable employment, DHS said. As a federally funded initiative administered at the state level, SNAP E&T focuses on equipping participants with the skills, training, or work experience necessary for employment. Furthermore, it addresses barriers to employment by offering support services such as transportation and childcare, while also providing job retention assistance.
