WAPA Announces Rotational Power Outages for St. Croix District Due to Urgent Maintenance

The V.I. Water and Power Authority has issued a public service announcement for residents of the St. Croix district, advising of a tentative rotation outage schedule set to begin this evening due to urgent maintenance required at the Richmond power plant. The planned outages, which are necessary to address critical infrastructure needs, will take place during peak demand hours and may affect various feeders across the island. WAPA stated that outages will begin at 6:00 p.m. and run through 11:00 p.m., with different areas impacted during specific time blocks depending on load demand.
