All V.I. Public Schools Set to Reopen Monday, Except Woodson Jr. High

The V.I. Department of Education has announced that all public schools across the Territory will reopen on Monday, August 18, 2025, following the passage of Hurricane Erin. The reopening includes St. Croix Educational Complex High School, which had been closed on Friday due to a water pump issue that has now been resolved, VIDE said. The Department said that the Bureau of School Construction and Maintenance (BSCM) worked through the weekend to address the mechanical problem at SCEC, ensuring the building is once again safe and ready for students and staff to return. While all other schools will resume full operations, John H. Woodson Jr. High School remains closed, with no reopening date yet announced.
