Women's March Set For Saturday Territory-Wide

The Women’s March on Washington has inspired over 300 “sister marches” to take place from 10:30 a.m. to noon, Saturday, January 21 -- the day after the Inauguration all around the U.S. -- and the U.S. Virgin Islands, on all three islands, will be participating as well, press releases issued this week have made known. The Women’s March on St. Croix will begin at Time Square and proceed down King Street. People will gather at the Fort Christiansted Bandstand from 10:30 a.m. to noon, for a program to include guest speakers, music, poetry readings and more. On St. Thomas, the march begins at 10:30 a.m. and runs through noon, marching from Yacht Haven Grande to Frenchtown Post Office. In St. John, the march on Cruz Bay starts at noon from the Freedom Statue and ends at 1:30 p.m. All 50 states, Puerto Rico, and now the U.S. Virgin Islands, are confirmed to have at least one grassroots-led march on Saturday, as well as cities on six continents, from Tokyo to Sydney, Nairobi to Paris to Bogotá...
