Iggy Pickering, Met Gala Collaborator and St. John Fashion Visionary, to Be Honored at BVI Gala

JOHN — St. John native and rising fashion talent Igdaliah “Iggy” Pickering is set to receive the prestigious Rising Star Award at the upcoming Kickin It’s Toast Gala, hosted by the community impact organization Kickin It. The event, now in its second year, will take place on Saturday, August 2 at Long Bay Beach Resort in the British Virgin Islands. A proud Virgin Islander, Pickering has carved out a distinctive space in the global fashion scene as the founder of her brand, IGDALYAH, and as Lead Designer for Hanifa, a prominent Black-owned luxury fashion label. Her influence soared earlier this year when she played a key design role in crafting the custom gown worn by Savannah James—wife of NBA star LeBron James and honorary chair of the 2025 MET Gala.
