970 Voters Cast Ballots as Early Voting Opens for 2026 Primary Election

A total of 970 voters cast ballots territory-wide as early voting opened Monday for the 2026 primary election, with St. Croix recording the highest first-day participation. The Elections System reported 509 early voters on St. Croix, 458 on St. Thomas and three on St. John. Early voting will continue through Wednesday, July 29, ahead of Primary Election Day on August 1. Supervisor of Elections Caroline F. Fawkes said early voting provides voters with a convenient, secure and accessible way to participate in the election on a schedule that works for them. Voting before August 1 also allows residents to avoid potential lines on Primary Election Day. Early Voting Hours and Locations Early voting on St. Croix and St. Thomas will be available daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. through July 29.
