Personnel Announces Correction And Police Officer Entrance Exams

ST. THOMAS -- Division of Personnel Acting Director Milton Potter has announced territory-wide tests for the ranks of Correction Officer and Police Officer, according to a press release the division issued on Thursday. Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent certificate. Candidates must also possess or be able to qualify for a driver's license. US citizenship is also mandatory, and candidates should be no younger than 20 years and not have arrived at his/her forty- six (46) birthday. Candidates must successfully pass a civil service written examination; physical agility test; psychological exam; oral board interview; as well as a background check. Sign-up dates are between July 27-August 7. And testing dates are September 14-18. According to the release, all interested candidates must sign-up and submit a complete application package at the respective district's office by Friday, August 7.
