St. Croix Service Interruptions Scheduled For Friday

On Friday, customers on two St. Croix feeders will experience electrical service interruption while upgrades are made to the transmission and distribution system, WAPA has announced. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., electrical service will be interrupted to approximately 65 customers in Estates La Grande Princess and Rattan, on St. Croix Feeder 4A, to allow WAPA’s contractor Haugland Energy to pull new lines in the communities, replacing current wires and upgrading the system.  From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., electrical service will be interrupted to approximately 138 customers in Estate Clifton Hill on St. Croix Feeder 9A to allow Haugland Energy to run new lines in the Clifton Hill community and reconfigure the system to reduce the number of customers affected by future service interruptions in the area.  Motorists traversing the areas where work is being performed are asked to proceed with caution, for the safety of crews and other drivers.
