20-Year-Old Man Fatally Shot in Hospital Ground, St. Thomas

ST. THOMAS — A fatal shooting occurred in the Hospital Ground area near the Fish Market on Tuesday, leaving a 20-year-old man dead, according to the V.I. Police Department. The incident was reported at approximately 2:34 p.m., when multiple callers informed 911 of a shooting. According to reports, the victim suffered a gunshot wound to the chest. Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), the VIPD and other emergency responders were dispatched to the scene shortly after the call. The victim, identified as Franklin Thomas Archibald Jr., was transported to Schneider Regional Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The case remains under active investigation, with authorities seeking information from the public to assist in solving the crime.
