At Meeting With Limetree Bay, Bryan Stresses Need for Transparency, Expresses Support for Successful Refinery Operation

ST. CROIX — Governor Albert Bryan on Tuesday at Government House met with newly named Limetree Bay CEO Jeff Rinker and his executive team to discuss the company’s progress in the restart of refinery operations, according to a release from the administration. Tuesday’s meeting was previously planned, nonetheless it followed a recent gas flaring event from the refinery that prompted the closure of several schools in the vicinity of the refinery and triggered complaints from residents living in the surrounding areas.
