First-Ever “Carnival Shake Out” 1-Mile/5K Race Set for April 26 at Griffith Ballpark

The Rock City Run Club, in collaboration with the Department of Sports, Parks, and Recreation, is launching a brand-new event—the Carnival Shake Out—scheduled for Saturday, April 26 at Griffith Ballpark. This inaugural 1-Mile / 5K race invites community members of all ages and fitness levels to come together for a day of movement, music, and celebration. Billed as a free event, the Shake Out carries the spirited motto: “Run, jog, or walk – just keep it moving!” Participants can expect a festive atmosphere featuring local celebrity runners, live music, medals, and other surprises designed to energize and unite the community as the 2025 Carnival Season gets underway. The event will be hosted by “Deh Papi Show” and live-streamed by Vivid Streaming, ensuring both on-site and remote spectators can take part in the energy of the day.
