WAPA Gets $30 Million Grant From FEMA for Management Costs

Delegate to Congress Stacey Plaskett has announced $30 million in FEMA funding to assist the the Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority with management costs. "This grant will benefit the Virgin Islands tremendously with our ongoing rebuilding efforts and making the Virgin Islands whole again after experiencing two devastating hurricanes,” Ms. Plaskett said in a prepared statement Tuesday. The Federal Emergency management Agency grant helps cover WAPA’s indirect costs and administrative expenses. Eligible management cost activities may include: Solicitation, review, and processing of sub-applications and sub-grant awards.
