St. Croix Man Pleads Guilty to Threatening Federal Officers at Rohlsen Airport

ST. CROIX — Jamoi Weekes, 30, of St. Croix, has pleaded guilty to Influencing Federal Officials by Threats, U.S. Attorney Delia L. Smith announced today. The plea was entered before Magistrate Judge Emile A. Henderson III, with sentencing set for March 19, 2025. Weekes faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison, with the final determination to be made by a federal judge based on the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors. The charges stem from an incident on August 31, 2024, at the Henry E. Rohlsen Airport in St. Croix. According to court documents, Weekes was referred for a secondary inspection by Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers before boarding his flight. During the inspection, he became irate and issued threats to murder and retaliate against the officers if he encountered them again.
