66-Year-Old Man Dies in St. Croix Crash After Jeep Falls Into Ravine

ST. CROIX — A tragic single-vehicle crash on East Airport Road claimed the life of a 66-year-old man last week Friday, according to authorities. The incident occurred on March 28 when the driver of a 2011 Jeep Cherokee, traveling eastbound on East Airport Road, lost control of the vehicle, which subsequently veered off the roadway and plunged into a nearby ravine, according to the V.I. Police Department. Emergency responders, including members of St. Croix Rescue and Bates Trucking, were dispatched to the scene to assist with the recovery of both the vehicle and the driver. Emergency Medical Technicians arrived and determined the driver had succumbed to his injuries. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The deceased has been identified by next of kin as Micheal R. King, 66 years old. The V.I.
