Liberty VI Begins Restoration Work on Red Hook Road as Part of Fiber Optic Expansion

Liberty VI has announced the commencement of road restoration work on Nicholas Friday Memorial Drive, commonly known as Red Hook Road, in St. Thomas. The project is a key component of Liberty VI’s Fiber to the Home (FTTH) initiative, aimed at delivering high-speed internet access to all homes and businesses across the U.S. Virgin Islands. The roadwork will begin on Thursday, January 16, and is projected to take ten workdays to complete. Work hours are scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, to minimize disruptions during school hours. However, lane and partial road closures are expected, potentially causing delays for residents and drivers. Liberty VI has advised the community to exercise caution when traveling through the area. Residents and businesses within the Red Hook community are encouraged to park their vehicles on their properties to avoid obstructions or potential damage.
