VIHFA Launches HOME-ARP Program to Support Homeless and At-Risk Residents in the Territory

The V.I. Housing Finance Authority announced on Tuesday the official launched its HOME-American Rescue Plan (HOME-ARP) Program, a federally funded initiative aimed at supporting individuals and families experiencing homelessness, facing housing instability, or classified as at-risk of homelessness. VIHFA Executive Director Eugene Jones, Jr. announced the rollout of the program, which is designed to provide a range of housing-related services and assistance to the territory’s most vulnerable populations. Funded through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, the HOME-ARP Program draws from a national allocation of $5 billion, with $3.3 million allocated to the Virgin Islands under VIHFA’s administration.
