Some of the artists participating in the 2022-2023 Crucian Christmas Festival Village, named Daddy Jones Musical Kingdom.
The 70th Crucian Christmas Festival set for Dec. 11 through Jan. 7 promises to be a memorable experience for Virgin Islanders and visitors alike, as St. Croix kicks off its first full celebration of culture since the Covid-19 pandemic shutdown activities in 2020.
From the pageants, to Food Fair, Jouvert, Children's and Adults Parades, Village Nights, Soca Monarch and more — not to mention a plethora of privately organized events — St. Croix is the place to be for the holidays.
While all the activities are garnering excitement and the parades are the main showcase of the festival, the Festival Village — named "Daddy Jones Musical Kingdom" this year after legendary Virgin Islands artist and producer, Daddy Jones, (Alwyn Baptiste, Jr.) — traditionally has had the most visitors and lasts the longest.
This year, the Village lasts for nine nights (Dec. 30 through Jan. 7) and features both local and international artists.
