ST. CROIX — Police on Monday night at 11:11 p.m. arrested serial felon Jimmy Davis who was wanted on a local rape charge. On the federal level, Davis was supposed to be doing hard time in federal prison, but the Feds on Saturday issued a "WANTED" bulletin, which stated that Davis had violated a supervised release, and asked those who may come in contact with him "use extreme caution" because "subject has violent tendencies and has been charged with assault and battery on law enforcement officers."
According to V.I.P.D Public Information Officer Toby Derima, Davis was identified as the individual who forcibly raped a 15-year-old female on April 3. Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives, Special Operation Bureau officers, US Marshals and other Federal Agents conducted a joint operation to apprehend Davis.
Davis contacted detectives, agreed to surrender to police and was apprehended in Williams Delight without incident, Mr. Derima said.
Unable to make bail of $100,000, he was remanded to the Golden Grove Detention Facility pending his advisement hearing.
