Armed Bandits Rob KFC in Frederiksted, Fleeing Scene in Black Vehicle

KFC in Frederiksted

ST. CROIX — Two armed men robbed the Kentucky Fried Chicken Restaurant in Frederiksted on Thursday night, fleeing the scene in a black SUV with an undisclosed amount of cash.

According to V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Toby Derima, an investigation into the incident revealed that two black males dressed in all black and armed with handguns entered the establishment and removed cash out of the register.

They fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. Officers received a tip from a concerned citizen that the two suspects ran towards Fort Frederik and entered a black vehicle, Mr. Derima said.

One suspect is described as having a dark complexion, slim built, muscular definition, about 5 feet 6 inches in height, wearing a black shirt to cover his face and was wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, according to the police report. The other suspect is described as slim built, wearing a shirt over his face and a long-sleeved two-toned sweater.
